Darrel Woods Obituary
Born Aug. 12, 1936 in Osceola Mills, he was a son of the late John Woods and Martha (Harris) Puit.
Darrel was a member of the Brisbin Baptist Church.
He was first employed at the Cigar Factory in Philipsburg and retired from Charles Navasky and Co.
Darrel is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce (McGraw) Woods.
Also surviving are four sisters, Rose Patterson, Sara Poole, Dolly McGee, Mary Ann Coutes; two brothers, Bill and John Puit; sister-in-law, Donna Leiphart and husband Jack; brother-in-law, Preston McGraw and wife Kathy; numerous nieces, nephews and a great nephew.
Preceding Darrel in death were his parents; brothers, Charles Jr. and Robert Puit; and sister Giget Lefevbre.
Family and friends will be received Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale from 2-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service officiated by Pastor Mark Melhorn at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
