DAVID ECKLUND Obituary
Born on July 22, 1960, in Philipsburg, PA, he is the son of Lawrence and Jean (Logue) Ecklund both of Belleville.
He married Deborah M. Buckwalter on June 7, 1980 in Houtzdale; she survives at home.
David was the owner-operator of Ecklund Coal Co. of Clearfield County and a member of UMWA. He was a 1978 graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Sue Taylor and her husband Julian of Philipsburg; two sons, David Alan Ecklund and his wife Jill of Philipsburg, and Jonathan Carl Ecklund and his wife Dana of Houtzdale; three sisters, Suzanne Ecklund of Atlanta, Georgia, Judy Ecklund of Morganton, N.C., and Lana (Ecklund) Weld is in Lewistown, PA; a brother, Mark Ecklund and his wife Natasha of Irvona; and six grandchildren, Logan, Annabelle, Finley, Wyatt, Josephine and Tallon.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.

Debbie, I am so very sorry to hear about Dave. He was always so nice. Even when I was a little kid and my grandmother would want to stop and talk to his grandmother. Dave was always very patient with us. That never changed. God be with you. I'll keep you in my prayers.

David was my oldest nephew. He accomplished so many things in his short life. He found Debbie, the love of his life, raised 3 successful, independent children who have given him 6 beautiful grandchildren. He started his own business, traveled with his family, rode motocyles with a passion, and loved his dogs. He was a friend to many with his quick wit and great sense of humor. He marched to a different drummer and we all loved him for that. He could talk about any subject and always make people laugh. We are remembering those things today. Our deepest sympathy and prayers
