DAVID FERGUSON Obituary
Born April 4, 1964 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late James Lee Ferguson, Sr. and Rachel Janet Kelley.
He was known for his willingness to help others, including volunteering his company to provide temporary roofing to those affected by Florida hurricanes. Dave had a diverse career, an owner of a drywall company in the Denver, Colo. area. He also worked as a developer in Florida, where he helped create two subdivisions and two golf courses. He was an entrepreneur who owned several businesses, including Ferguson Custom Builders in Rotunda Lakes, Fla. and the Wild Ride Motocross track in Decatur Township.
In his free time he enjoyed hunting, woodworking, construction, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by five children, David Alan Ferguson, Jr. of Warsaw, Va., Greg Ferguson of Philipsburg, Maggi Marie Ferguson Stephenson of London, England, Ava Jane Ferguson of Philipsburg, and Samuel Alan Cash Ferguson of Philipsburg; six siblings, Mary Jane Burke of McKeesport, Barry Thomas Ferguson of Somerset, Ruthann Barnes of Sheldon, Iowa, Lisa Annette Harris of Richmond, Va., Michael Robert Ferguson of South Park, and Paul Lynn Ferguson of Chilton, Wisc.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Lee Ferguson, Jr.
Friends will be received Friday, July 12, 2024 from 5 until the time of service at 7 p.m. at Dahlgren-Spewock Funeral Home, Inc., 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg. Pastor Laura Kyler will officiate.
Private interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
