EDITH RICKETTS Obituary
She was born Sept. 7, 1940 in Kerrmoor, daughter of Harrison Davis and Eunice Witherite Davis.
She attended the Westover Baptist Church.
She worked as a caregiver for CRI.
Edie was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with the family. Her contagious laugh and kindness will be remembered by her family and friends.
Edie had a strong faith in God and loved the Lord and lived her life following in God's love.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin Jr. (Karen) of Irvona, Stacey (Susan) of Westover, Kevin (Lisa) of LaJose; daughter, Valerie (Todd) Aughton of Pittsburgh; brothers, Harrisin Martin Davis of DuBois, Ralph Davis of Irvona; sisters, Delores Taylor of Clearfield, Audrey Foulkner of New Fair, N.Y., Jennie Hutton of LaJose, Mary Lorna Hutton of LaJose; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; also John's children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gail Davis; sister, Connie Sornovsky; first husband Alvin Hutton Sr. in 1984; and second husband John S. Ricketts in 2004.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Westover Baptist Church with a funeral service at noon in the church with the Rev. Mark Brady officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, LaJose.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Westover Baptist Church, P.O. Box 208, Westover, PA 16692.
Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, Inc. of Irvona is in charge of arrangements.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Edie. Everything that was said in the obituary is exactly how she was. I haven´t seen her in years but when I was around. She was always laughing. She will be missed by so many. My condolences to the family.

Love and miss you Aunt Edie. Edie was always,always laughing.There are so many memories of us all getting together when we were growing up and when the sisters got together it was like a hen house with all the cackling. Edie was one of the happiest people I ever knew. So positive about everything. After being around her you would go leave being happy. Her being my aunt was an honor.
