MORRISDALE - Elroy K. Dixon, 75, of Morrisdale, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born on Nov. 21, 1946 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Rev. Edward D. Dixon and Martha M. Dixon.
He married Helen Jane Luzier on Aug. 14, 1965 in Clearfield. She survives at home.
He was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Allport.
He graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in 1964. He worked for North American Van Lines in State College, Piper Aircraft for 16 years, drove his own truck, worked for Kephart Trucking, Jevic Trucking and New Century Trucking until retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, D. Wayne Dixon and one grandson, Kyle C. Dixon.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three children, Marie A. Seaburn and husband Hans. T. Duncan of DuBois, Alfred E. Dixon of Lanse, Tia L. Dixon and companion Brad T. Shifter of Punxsutawney; four siblings, D. Calvin Dixon and wife Nancy of Alexandria, Va.; Gregory N. Dixon of Morrisdale, Hope R. Graham and husband Samuel of Goshen, Trudy K. Tarachko and husband Stan of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Jennifer, Cassandra, Lauren, Erin, and Keith; one great-grandchild, Maci; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chris Pfleegor officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Centre Hill Cemetery, Morrisdale.
