FRANCES A. ZETTS

1942 - 2023

DRIFTING - Frances A. Zetts, 81, of Drifting, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Born Sept. 13, 1942 in Hawk Run; she was the daughter of the late John J. and Helen (Goda) Astare.

She wed Gregory Zetts who preceded her in death in 1972.

Surviving are her children, Michael Zetts and wife Lori of Drifting and their children, Adam and Brendan Zetts; Gregory Zetts and wife Mary of Drifting, and their children, Natalie, and Nathan Zetts; John Zetts and his wife Maria of Drifting and their children, John, Jr. and his wife Rachel, Nick, and Kayla Zetts; Marie Michaels of Boalsburg and her daughter Gwenyth Michaels; her siblings, John Astare of Clarence, Ed Astare and wife Janet of Monroeton, Jean Astare of Hawk Run; and one great-grandson, Ethan Zetts.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Zetts, and Betty Astare; and a nephew, Doug Astare.

Frances was a member of St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting, where she was a religious education teacher, a member of the Rosary Society and a member of the Jednota Lodge 456. She was a graduate of Morris Township High School. She and her sons are owners of Zetts Fish Farm and Hatcheries, Drifting. She loved bowling, and could be found in the kitchen for St. Severin's Cooper Picnic and other events.

Family and friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023 at St. Severin Roman Catholic Church, Drifting with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. William Barron as celebrant.

She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
