Helen J. Leskovansky

1931 - 2025

PHILIPSBURG - Helen J. Leskovansky, 94, of (North) Philipsburg, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Helen was born on March 18, 1931, in (North) Philipsburg, a daughter of the late Anton W. and Helen A. (Hydock) Pavlick.

Helen was a 1949 graduate of the former Philipsburg High School. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg.

Helen was married on June 12, 1954, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg, to Robert L. Leskovansky. Robert preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2012.

Early in her career, she was employed as a bookkeeper and as a clerk for Hurwitz Hardware, formerly located in Philipsburg. However, after she and Robert were married; she was a dedicated homemaker while raising a family.

Among her favorite pastimes, she was an avid gardener; she enjoyed tending to her flower garden and other yard work.

Helen was preceded in death by one brother and a sister-in-law, Anthony W. Pavlick, Sr. and his wife Beatrice (Herr) Pavlick. She was the last of her generation.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen M. Leskovansky and Theresa J. Webster and her husband, Earl; five grandchildren: Theresa (Robert), Anton, Chelsea, Carl, and SSgt. Benjamin/USAF, (Felicia); five great-grandchildren: Jocelyn (William/USAF), Olivia, DeVanden, Carl, Jr., and Roselynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at 11 a.m., at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 400 S. 4th. Street, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Matthias Rendon, OFM, celebrant.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, from 5-8 p.m., at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce Street, Philipsburg; and on Friday from 10-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

The Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, RD Philipsburg.
