James Catherman Obituary
Jim was born on Feb. 1, 1936 in Woodland, the son of Fredrick and Matilda (Lumadue) Catherman.
On Nov. 9, 1957, Jim married Carol Nelson, his beloved wife of 63 years.
Jim graduated from Clearfield Area High School. He attended the First Baptist Church of Clearfield; he especially enjoyed going to the outdoor summer concerts on Coal Hill.
Along with his partner, Eddie Kassab, Jim started the business J & E Plumbing and Heating in 1966.
Jim is survived by two sons, Edward Catherman and wife Susan, and David, all of Clearfield; nine grandchildren, Anna Grace, Becca and fiance Jake Stiles, Elizabeth, Seth, Sarah, David Jr., Jas and wife Kathy, Jeremy and wife Erin, and Tanner and wife Kristen; two great grandsons, James and Connor; a daughter in law, Tami Billotte; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Jim was preceded in death by his son, James R. Catherman; his daughter in law, Kimberly A. Catherman; and his siblings, Martha, Lewis, Isabella and Lorraine. Jim was the last of his generation.
Jim was a faithful husband, caring dad, loving pap and all around kind, generous person. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going out for breakfast and most of all, spoiling and joking with his grandkids.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 111 N. 2nd St., Clearfield on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church, 111 N. 2nd St., Clearfield on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10-11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be make to the First Baptist Church, 111 North 2nd St., Clearfield, PA 16830
