Jean V. Veneziano

1935 - 2025

MORRISDALE - Jean V. (Potts) Veneziano, age 89 of Morrisdale, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2025 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born Sept. 30, 1935 in Hedding, N.J., she was the daughter of the late James and Lillian (Kennedy) Potts.

On June 27, 1997 in Kylertown, she wed John Veneziano who preceded her on Sept. 22, 2003.

Surviving are her children, Georgenne Merrow and husband Steven, Morrisdale; Arnold Kerlin, Morrisdale; daughter-in-law, Susan Kerlin, Lanse; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Jean was the last of her generation.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Wally Kerlin, Forrest Kerlin and his wife Joann, Dale Kerlin; her sisters, Evelyn Hall and Dorothy Forsythe; and her brothers, Earl, and Edward Potts.

Jean had worked for a busing company in New Jersey and then busing at West Branch Area School District, Allport, Ken Long Motors, Philipsburg; and Sones Transportation, Morrisdale. She had also worked at Kerns Auctioneers, for many years.

Her passion was raising Boston Terriers for years. On her free time, she loved to go to many yard sales, waiting to see what surprises she could find. But her biggest love was her children and numerous grandchildren, getting to spend quality time with them.

There will be no public visitation, funeral services will be private. She will be laid to rest in Palestine Cemetery, Morrisdale.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made in her name to, Morris Twp. Volunteer Fire Company, 72 Glendale Ave., Morrisdale, PA 16858.
