JOANNA FAY MACTAVISH

1951 - 2023

MORRISDALE - Joanna Fay MacTavish, 72, of Morrisdale, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 at her residence.

Born Jan. 19, 1951 in Morrisdale, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lyle Hubler, Sr., and Kathryn (Goss) Hubler.

On May 10, 1969 at Summit Hill United Methodist Church, Morrisdale, she wed her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, being married 54 years, Glenn R. MacTavish, Sr. who survives in Morrisdale.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Glenn MacTavish, Jr. and his wife Stephanie MacTavish, Crystal Owens and her husband Michael Owens, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kayleigh Carns and husband Devin Carns, Kamryn MacTavish, Mackenzie MacTavish, Michael Owens, III and wife Ashley Owens, Brandi Spackman and husband Eli Spackman; her great-grandchildren, Elijah Owens, Bristol Owens, James Owens, Ryleigh Spackman and Kinsleigh Spackman; her siblings, Jackson Hubler, Sr. and Kimberlie Hartle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Britani Owens; her sister, Margaret "Peggy" Smith, and a brother, Edward Lyle "Butch" Hubler, Jr.

Joanna was an active member of Victory Church, Morrisdale, a Sunday School teacher, and Youth Leader and she will be greatly missed. She was a 1968 graduate of West Branch High School, Allport and a member of the band. She retired as a H.R. Manager at Blatek, Inc., State College. Her greatest titles were wife, mom, gram, and great-gram. She was also known as Aunt Jo to her nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Victory Church, at 2806 Allport Cutoff, Morrisdale, on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023 at 4 p.m. A meal will follow.
