JORDAN D. SMITH JR.

1939 - 2022

OSCEOLA MILLS - Jordan D. Smith, Jr., 82, of Osceola Mills, died on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Epworth Manor in Tyrone.

Born on Sept. 18, 1939 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Jordan D. Smith, Sr. and Mildred (Brown) Smith.

He married Jean A. Baughman on March 25, 1961 in Osceola Mills; she preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 2018.

Jordan was a member of the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church and a life member of Columbia Fire Company in Osceola Mills. He was retired from the Teamsters Trucker Union.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jordan was preceded in death by a brother, William Smith; and five grandchildren, Robbie, Angel, Darren, Dennis and George.

He is survived by three sons, Richard D Smith and his wife Cathy of Prince Frederick, Md., Randy L. Smith and his wife Trudy of Leola, and Pastor Donald J. Smith and his wife Beverly in Morrisdale; six grandchildren, Rebecca, Jennifer, Ben, Heather, Brandon and Breanna; and nine great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church, 303 Curtin St., Osceola Mills, with Pastor Gloria Montgomery officiating.

Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Health Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 701 Lingle St., Osceola Mills, and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the church.
