JOSEPH KRUMENACKER Obituary

SMITHMILL - Joseph R. Krumenacker, 67, of Smithmill, passed away on Jan. 2, 2022 at home.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1954 in Johnstown. Joe was the son of Mary (Croyle) and Ronald Krumenacker.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Lori (Herman) Krumenacker and their children, Ronald Krumenacker and his wife Heidi of Smithmill, Shealyn, wife of Jay Clarke of Bellwood, Renee Krumenacker of Morann and Sheena, wife of Jason Ball of Smoke Run. Joe is also survived by his grandchildren, Desiree, Kylie, Owen, Kamdyn, Zane, Zoey and Lyla. He was the brother of Sharon Wood of Florida, Debbie, wife of Don Herman of Blue Knob, Keith Krumenacker and wife Darlene of Portage, Robin, wife of Joel Jackson of Hollidaysburg, and Bryan Krumenacker and wife Monica of California.

Joe was a retired corrections officer at SCI-Houtzdale. He was a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. Joe's special interest was birdwatching, especially owls and woodpeckers.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 at the Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 532 Main St., Portage, and from 10 a.m. until time of 11 a.m. service on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 at the Martindale Alliance Church, with the Rev. Timothy Dietrich officiating.

Committal will be held at Mount Hope Church Cemetery in Blue Knob.
