Kenneth Clapsadle Obituary
Born Sept. 22, 1937, he was the son of John M. and Cecelia (Rafferty) Clapsadle.
Kenneth lived a life marked by service, devotion to family, and enduring strength. He proudly served in the United States Army and United States Air Force for 21 years, retiring with honor as a Technical Sergeant. Following his military career, he continued his life of hard work and dedication as a heavy equipment operator for 20 years. His commitment to country and community was matched only by his love for his family, who will remember him for his guidance, humor, and unwavering support.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosalie (Hall) Clapsadle, whom he married in 1957 in Webster, Massachusetts, and his daughter, Brenda Thornhill.
He is survived by his daughters, Kim Davis (Joe) of Clearfield, Sandra Bailor (Perry Rowles) of Clearfield, Tracy Witherow (Ed) of Lancaster; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Joey Davis (Kourtnie, Audrey), Heather DePiano (Fran, Josie, Maggie), Jason Bailor (Brooke, Landon, Makenna), Cory Bailor (Shana, Kinley, Duke, Quinn), Courtney Thompson (Jimmy, Rilee, Camyrn, Liam), Taylor Aughenbaugh (Brad, Grant), Ryan Thornhill (Pedro), Amber Nichols (Casey, Hunter, Aidan, CJ, Eliza), and Michele Williams (Jason). He is also survived by his brothers John (Barbara) of Westminster, Md., and Carl of Rock Hill, N.C., and a sister Sara Forte of Cherry Hill, N.J.
Kenneth's life was a testament to service, family, and faith. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Viewing will be held at Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, from 2-5 p.m. on Monday from 9-10 a.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, Curwensville on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Marc Soloman officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Grampian. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Knickerbocker Villa and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brenda Clapsadle Thornhill Memorial Scholarship in care of Kim Davis, 1217 Joseph Road, Clearfield, PA 16830.
