LARRY HUMMEL Obituary
Born on April 4, 1943 in Clearfield, he was the son of Jesse and Esther (Lawhead) Hummel.
Larry grew up in Hyde. Upon graduation from Clearfield Area High School he entered the United States Navy. He enjoyed sharing his experiences of traveling around the world, with the Navy, while serving aboard the USS Marias. He was extremely proud of serving his country.
He wed the former Donna Quigley and together they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. He cherished his family and their time together.
Larry worked for 23 years at TAFCO, Hyde, and retired after 15 years of employment with the Walmart Distribution Center, Woodland.
He attended The Bridge Church, Clearfield.
Larry was a lifetime member of the Hyde Volunteer Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; three children, Lisa Homan and her husband Paul of Clearfield, Linda Way and her husband Charles of Front Royal, Va., Susan Michael and her husband Peter of Clearfield; and six grandchildren, Abbey Homan of Clearfield, Rachel Homan of Leechburg, Emily (Way) Jones of Parsippany, N.J., Natalie Way of Front Royal, Va., and Isaac and Luke Michael of Clearfield.
Larry is also survived by one sister, Betty Kramer of Clearfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Deloris Vokes.
Friends will be received at The Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield, on Monday, Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Scott Schultz will be the officiant.
