Michael D. Strayer

1956 - 2025

MORRISDALE - Michael D. Strayer, 69, of Morrisdale, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois surrounded by his family.

Born on May 28, 1956 in Roaring Spring, he was a son of the late Oliver F. and Ruby E. (Lindstrom) Strayer.

Mike was a 1974 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School. He was a truck driver for Paul Cantolina Trucking until their closing and then drove for Earth Movers, retiring after 50 years of driving.

Mike enjoyed watching westerns, classic comedies and cartoons. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and friends and going for rides in his Mustang. Mike will be remembered for his willingness to help others, his Dutch rubs, Charlie horses and being a genuinely kind person.

He is survived by two sisters Olive F. Strayer of Chicago, Ill., and Billie J. Stott-French (husband James) of Ramey and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverley A. Strayer and Norma J. Arrington.

A memorial service will be held at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation, 2550 Union St., Ramey, on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026 at 11 a.m.

Mike will be laid to rest in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
