NICHOLAS CASHER Obituary

WOODLAND - Nicholas S. Casher, 27, of Woodland, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital due to complications from a dirt bike accident.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1994 in Clearfield, the son of Thaddeus Durant and Annisse (Casher) Straw.

Nicholas was a 2012 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. He was employed by Lezzer Truss, Inc.

Nicholas enjoyed all extreme sports - motor cross and snowboarding. He also enjoyed woodworking and construction. He was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout and also spent time in Australia as a student ambassador.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step parents, Scott Straw and Kim Durant; sister, Corinne K. Straw; and brother, Isaac E. Durant; grandparents, Rodney Casher, Sue and Tom Straw, Tim and Peggy Durant, and Pam Gibson; great grandparents, Shelia Wisor and Charlotte Crain; and uncle grandpa, Buddy Sam Casher; he is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Valarie K. Casher; and a grandfather, Edwin Gibson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Octo. 16, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc.

Burial will be at Bigler Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the SPCA or Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic.
