Robert Weber Obituary

GRAMPIAN - Robert L. "Lee" Weber, 79, of Grampian, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024.

Born Dec. 1, 1945 in DuBois, he was the son of Darrel and Wilda (Bish) Weber. He was a 1963 Graduate of DuBois Area High School. He had worked at Thomas Coal Company as a maintenance tech and a heavy equipment operator. He also drove truck for Preston Trucking and Walmart for 20 years.

Lee enjoyed mowing with his tractor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed his garden.

On Nov. 21, 1964 at Grampian Church of God, he wed Judy (Hahn) Weber, who survives of Grampian; along with three children, Christine Lee Schneider (John) of Byrnedale, Richard Weber and significant other Deneen Eisenhower of Pottersdale, and Michele D. Weber of DuBois; four grandchildren, Jackie Kurten (Sam), Amanda Weber, Gregory A. Weber, and Allison M. Schneider; two great-grandchildren, Geno and Stella Kurten; sister, Irene Kendall and a brother, Lewis Weber, both of Grampian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Weber; and sisters, Jean Freyer, Doris Armstrong, Lenore Henry, and Dona Chittister.

Services for Mr. Weber will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday, Jan. 3, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bryon Kleppinger officiating.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. till the time of services at 1 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Sorry to hear of Lee´s passing. Worked with him for several years at Thomas Coal. Lee had a great sense of humor and was an all around good man.

My husband worked with Lee at Thomas Coal Co. We visited their home a couple times when their children were young. He was always a lot of fun.
