Franklin Whitlock Obituary

Franklin K. Whitlock was born in Edgewood, MD, the son of William Henry Whitlock and Elvera Winifred Miller. Frank grew up in Mont Alto, PA and graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1960. He continued his education at Carlisle Military Academy, Bamberg, SC and returned to attend Pennsylvania State University, York, PA.
Frank married the former Dorothy Doyle of Quincy, PA in 1963 and moved to Woodlyn, PA near Philadelphia in 1964 where he was employed at Boeing Vertol as a Tool and Die Maker apprentice. He worked for The Boeing Company for 36 years becoming a respected Industrial Engineering Estimating Manager and retiring from the company in Seattle, WA in 2002. He was very proud of his contributions to many of Boeing's programs including the CH-47D Chinook, the A-6 Intruder Composite Re-wing Program, the B-2 Spirit, F-22 Raptor and many other advanced aerospace programs.
Frank was preceded in death by his second wife Laurita A. (Slattum) Whitlock. He is survived by his sister Judith Robinson-O'Brien of Weippe, ID, sons, Daniel A. Whitlock, Auburn, WA, Thomas M. Whitlock and daughter Kathleene J. Prouty of Boise, ID, step-daughter Kristine M. Rouse of Seattle, WA and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services are being planned for the new year at St Madeleine Sophie, Bellevue, WA.
