Mary Jane (Binkley) Carson
Mrs. Mary Jane (Binkley) Carson, 90, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Friday evening, February 19, 2021, at The Village at Luther Ridge, Chambersburg, PA.
Born September 25, 1930 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John I. and Ruth I. (Wagaman) Binkley.
She and her husband, the late Herbert H. Carson, were married in 1951. Mr. Carson died on March 28, 1973.
Mrs. Carson was a homemaker.
She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #842, Chambersburg and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro.
She is survived by one daughter, Melinda J. Carson (Robert Barnhart) of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Matthew Carson (Liz) and Christina Carson; four great-grandchildren, Ivan, Maximus, Josiah, and Brianna; one brother, John W. "Bill" Binkley (Myrna) of Waynesboro; one niece, Jennifer Good (Steven); one nephew, Mark Binkley (Sharon); and numerous extended family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald L. Carson on July 20, 2016.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Lin Smalec officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
