Addison Royer Obituary

Addison Chevelle Royer passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021. She was 15 years old.Addison was born on June 14, 2006, in Martinez, CA, to Brian and Sara Royer. She is the second and middle child of the Royer family after Trenton Royer, 21, and before Greyson Royer, 12. Addison grew up in Vacaville, CA, which remained her home through the time of her passing. Addison attended Orchard Elementary School, Willis Jepson Middle School, and Vacaville High School. She was a ferocious soccer player and loved animals. Addison was an animal foster volunteer for Whiskers, Tails, and Ferals cat rescue in Vacaville, and for Humane Society of the North Bay in Vallejo, where she adopted her beloved kitten, Cali. Addison's snuggly, sweet pitbull Emma was Addison's baby. Addison adored her brothers and was a fiercely loyal and protective sister, though she had no qualms about putting them in their places. In recent years, Addison became very interested in makeup and aspired to attend cosmetology school. This made sense for her as she was a very creative and artistic person and had been taking art classes since she was just a toddler. She had an affinity for everything horror-related and her favorite movie was "Nightmare Before Christmas." Addison was a young world traveler, having visited the Caribbean, Central America, the Hawaiian Islands, and many U.S. cities in the lower 48. She had been very excited about her upcoming visit across the globe to Tokyo this coming March. Addison had a quick wit, a huge heart, and will be warmly remembered for her amazing hugs and being an absolute firecracker.Fierce, big-hearted, fearless, witty, loyal, animal-loving, beloved Addison, you left us far too soon. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. To quote Winnie the Pooh: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."Addison Chevelle Royer is survived by her parents, Brian and Sara Royer; her brothers, Trenton and Greyson Royer; her sister-in-law; her grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved Auntie Belby, Shelby Elizabeth Barnes. Addison's Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, at the Vacaville Opera House at 560 Main Street in Vacaville, CA.In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to one of Addison's two favorite cat rescue organizations in her honor: Whiskers, Tails and Ferals or Humane Society of the North Bay. A donation box will be set up at the Opera House or donations can be made through the organizations' respective websites, www.whiskerstailsandferals.org/ and https://www.hsnb.org/
