April 8, 1940 - April 9, 2014

Carolyn was born in Lovell, OK. She attended Oklahoma College for Women and graduated with a BA in Speech from Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She began her teaching career in Elmira, continuing her tenure in Fairfield, for 31 years teaching elementary and middle school.

Carolyn had an active retirement. She was involved in volunteer work with VacaValley Hospital Guild and the Solano County Library Literacy Program. She was part of Community Presbyterian Church in Vacaville. She truly enjoyed helping others as a mentor and friend.

Carolyn had a passion for education and an incredibly positive outlook on life. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She had a strong faith in God and is surely dancing in Heaven with Ernie.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Stan Stallcup and daughter, Carrie Weigel (Jeff); grandchildren, Carlie and Nicholas; step children, Mark McClelland (Diane), Cathy McClelland (John Bergmann), Laura Henderson (John), David McClelland, Kim Zopfi (Peter); eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest McClelland; her mother and father, Loren and Eula Ruth Olmstead; and brothers, Stan and Keith.

A celebration of life will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m.
