James "Jimmy" Russell Sales Sr. passed away on Saturday March 11, 2006, after a long illness.
Jimmy was born in Fairfield on Oct. 17, 1950. He resided in Fairfield his whole life. After graduating from Armijo High School in 1969, he went to work as a paver operator for Solano Concrete. In August of 1975, he married his high school sweetheart, Marcia Humphrey. In 1981, Jimmy went into business with his father-in-law, Les Humphrey, starting S&H Paving.
Jimmy loved bear hunting, fishing, guns, cooking, operating heavy equipment and spending time with family and friends. He loved telling "stories" and rolling dice at Rockville Inn.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Sales; and father Russell Sales.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marcia Sales of Fairfield; his son, James Russell Sales Jr. of Fairfield; his daughter, Jamie Rose "Spud" Sales of Fairfield; sister, Shirley Moorehead of Vacaville; brother, Bobby Sales of Forest Hills; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and his pets, Rufus the pig and Pearl the dog!
A Celebration of Life will be held at Rockville Church on Suisun Valley Road at 1 p.m. Saturday.
A gathering for family and friends will be held immediately after the Celebration of Life at the Sales' residence.

Marcia and family,
We are so sorry to hear about your loss. I will always have great memories of Jimmy coming out to my uncles (Brad) during deer season and cracking jokes and having a fun. We all will miss his funny pig calls and his funny jokes. He will never be forgotten. We love you all.
