Kenneth Blevins passed away peacefully at home in Vacaville on April 20, 2012.
Kenneth (Ken) was born on Sept. 15, 1926 in Crowell, Texas to Bryan and Minnie Blevins. He moved to California in 1962 working as a Financial Officer for Collections for Southern Pacific Railroad in San Francisco until his retirement in 1986. Ken first lived in San Mateo before moving to Vacaville in 1986.
Ken was a WWII Veteran, serving in the US Navy from 1944-1946. He loved to play golf and was a member of Vacaville SIRS.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, June; his daughter, Jeanine (Peter) Alcala, San Jose; Gail (David) Hulsey, Livermore; grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Reid, Nicole, Katelyn and Taylor Alcala; great grandchildren, Kylee, Jess and Jacob Reid; sister, Doris (Howard) Reynolds of Fort Worth, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Daulton, Troy and Allen Blevins and grandson, J.K. Reid.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Yolo Hospice, 1909 Galileo Court, Suite A, Davis, Calif 95618 or to a charity of your choice.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 26, at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery, 522 Elmira Road, Vacaville.
