Marjorie Donald Phillips, 74 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2008, in her Fairfield home, surrounded by her large and loving family.
Marge was born on Oct. 22, 1933, to the late Tom and Alice Donald of Blackburn, Lancashire, England. She moved to the United States in 1956 and subsequently became a naturalized citizen. She and her husband raised seven children in Sacramento-Citrus Heights and moved to Vacaville in 1998 after her retirement from Sacramento County.
Marge loved all animals but particularly her West Highland white terriers (Westies). She was an active, longtime member of the San Francisco Bay West Highland White Terrier Club. She was very proud of her English heritage and also of being an American citizen.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Phillips; brother, Keith Donald of Melbourne, Australia; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Jay Huerta and Cathy and David Albright, of Vacaville, and Jan Phillips of Vancouver, Wash.; sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Anne Phillips of Olympia, Wash., Lee and Teresa Phillips of Geneva, Ill., Brett Phillips of Fairfield and Jay and Jeanne Phillips of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren, Aaron and Seth Manter, Jordan Phillips, Paige Singhose, Chelsea Phillips, Jesse and Ginny Kay Phillips and Ian Phillips; one great grandchild, Isaac Phillips; and, her Westies, Tam, Bobby Dazzler, Islay and Hamish.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Alice, and brothers, Roy and Brian Donald.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. Bay Area Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the San Francisco Bay West Highland White Terrier Club Rescue or the charity of one's choice.

Love you Mom.
Don't let that look fool you. She's actually very happy at that moment. Her grandson and his wife were visiting just before having her first great grandchild.

Our Prayers are with the Phillips Family. May the Good Lord take them in his loving hands. Marge was the wife of my Father's best friend, kind of like an "Uncle" to me, Making Marge kind of an "Aunt" to me.
God Bless
