Pilar Segura Obituary

Pilar Jimenez Segura, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021. Our beloved Pilar lost a sudden battle with pancreatic cancer. Pilar was born in Spain and settled in California at the age of 30, where she would find the love of her life, Manuel Segura. They married in 1963. They made their home in Vacaville and raised their daughter. Pilar was always active with her daughter's activities, her husband's adventures to travel, camp and fish and she loved spending time with her grandson. He brought her so much joy and she was so proud of him. Her bright smile, love for God, laughter and kindness will be missed. She worked as a seamstress, candy maker and cannery worker. She loved going out to eat, especially for pizza and Mexican food. She also loved to cook and bake and have her family around to celebrate any occasion. Pilar is survived by her daughter, Carmen (Willy) Raycraft; grandson, Michael Raycraft; sister, Palmira Gomez; sisters-in-law, Ruthie Tomasini, Carmen (Ron) Burton, and JoAnn (Joe) Romel. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pilar was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Segura; her parents; her brother, Emilio Jimenez; and sisters, Aurorica Jimenez Lopez, Aurora Jimenez Lopez and Consuelo Jimenez Lopez.A private memorial for the family will be held.
