Shirley has been a special and dear friend of mine for many years. I met her in 1954 when her niece Sharyn and I were in first grade. We had a special friendship that I will always treasure. When I was in the 5th grade I lived in Fairfield with my parents. My mother and I went to Oakland to attend Shirley's baby shower held at her sister Beverlys home. Shortly after she welcomed her precious baby girl Suzette, who was completely devoted to her mother all their life together. Shirley was always there for me and prayed for all my heartaches and losses as she did for everyone. She called me Huggie Bear from the beginning. Don't recall her ever calling me anything else. I miss her now and always will.

Dear, Dear Shirley. What a great lady. I loved working with her at Continental Pacific Bank. She kept me laughing every day. My deepest condolences to her family.
