Wow it's been almost a year but still in shock. If I didn't have you through middle & high school my life wouldn't have been the same. I'm just so thankful that you were in my life but still wish you were here with us today. Hope you are at peace. Love you Andrew xo

We will miss Andrew, our nephew. From the very beginning of his life, he always had a smile and was full of energy. When we would visit, we would have to ask what Andrew was up to. He was always out and on the go. Andrew amazed us how well he would ski in the winter and in the summer we would see him boogie boarding and surfing and diving; he must have had gills the way he could swim under water. He was always out finding a snake or some other critter to bring home. His energy would wear us out just visiting. Words fail us in describing Andrew; he was so full of life, and writing this is very hard to do for someone so young and part of our family. We are so proud of him as a Marine and he was a great nephew to have had. We will miss you so much. Craig, Brookie and My Sister Barb, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Andrew was a courageous, compassionate young man. I will not forget our time together, especially "the Carribean Incident". Love you Andrew & always will.

Andrew and I first met in Meps. We were about to sign our lives away. We went to bootcamp together, I broke my thumb in bootcamp but we found eachother again in SOI, then we were asigned to 3/6 together. I was his bestman at his wedding. we were deployed together. I had no idea he was injured in Afghanistan till I was injured. I wasn't able to drive, so he drove me around to all my medical appointments. I just found out about his death today when I emailed him last night seeing how things were. Andrew was like a brother to me I loved the kid. Rest in Peace Brother I'll never forget you.

The son of a best friend. Once a toddler and soon a Marine. A golf club in his hand, hitting 'em straight with a cigar in his mouth he was our secret weapon on every golf course. Soon the corps recognized him as the strongest, fastest, smartest and still hitting them straight, but now in over watch, as a sniper. He saved lives, uncounted numbers at home near water and abroad in the sand. He also brightened lives, all he encountered. That grin, those eyes and the golden hair. His fathers son, his mothers sun, his sisters hero. Like his grandfather, his father and me a veteran. A pilot aloft now we salute you Andrew. God speed!

Too many good memories to share. He was such a hilarious, loyal, and strong brother. He is an example to live life to the fullest. He did so much in his short time with us. He will forever be missed and loved. Andrew, may you be at rest and peace. Love, your sister, Brooke.

Some of my favorite childhood memories were playing with Brooke and Andrew in their backyard, in the woods, and just all around with the neighborhood gang. Your family was always so warm and welcoming to me, inviting me to backyard dinners, trips to Harrisburg and other family vacations. Remember the Carnival Destiny Cruise! I still picture Andrew as this rambunctious outdoorsy kid and I'm so impressed to hear about all that he accomplished as an adult and loving husband. I am so sad to hear about your family's loss. Sending my love to the Shadles!
