To the family of Charlie Porcelli,
My prayers are with you. Take hope and comfort in that Charlie is now at peace with the Lord. I worked with Charlie at NADC for many years. He was a wonderful person, a great engineer, co-worker, and friend. He will be missed by the many people who worked with him. I regret that I could not come Friday night because of the weather and unable to come Saturday.
May the Lord's peace be with you,
John W. Heap

My prayers and condolences go out to the Porcelli family. I had the great honor of working the P-3 programs with Charlie back in the 1990s and early 2000s when I was a relatively new engineer for the Navy. He was one of a very few people that had a role in mentoring me. He was highly respected by the team members and I was honored to have the privilege of working with Charlie and learning from him. He will be greatly missed at Navair, not just for the expertise he provided, but for his friendship and for his unparalleled integrity and commitment to the betterment of the USN. Rest in peace, Charlie.

Colleen and family,
I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. What a great guy Charlie was! He managed to have a lot of fun at the Academy despite its rather serious tone. I remember a YP cruise with him, hitchhiking back to Annapolis from DC, and just driving around having fun. My deepest condolences to you, your three lovely daughters and your two precious grandchildren. May God be with you all at this trying time, and give you inner peace and wonderful lasting memories of him.

It is with the deepest sympathy that I extend my condolences to the entire Porcelli family. Charlie was a wonderful friend and co-worker, with whom I enjoyed many lengthy discussions on a broad range of topics. Aviation was always the centerpiece though, as it continued to be one of the great loves we shared. Family & loved ones were also common topics, especially as the grandchildren started arriving. He was, quite simply, a great guy, and although his memory shall remain fresh for quite some time, I shall miss my friend.
