Francis Dinan Obituary
27, 2021 after a long illness. He was the husband of Joan A. (Wlotko)
Dinan. He was the son of the late John J. Dinan, Sr. and Anna R. Dinan.
He graduated from Roman Catholic High School, Class of' '57 and the Eckels
School of Mortuary Science. Tim was a funeral director for over 60 years
and was owner of the Dinan Funeral Home in the Spring Garden Section of
Phila., PA and the Shelly-Dinan Funeral Home in Lansdale, PA.. He was the
father of 4 children: Tim, Jr. (Alison), Christopher (Karen), Charles
(Kerri) and Joan Marie Spina (Nick), and proud grandfather of 10
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
brother John, Jr. and his sister Margaret Mary. He is survived by his
sisters, Patricia (Dave), Bernadine (John, dec.) and his brother James
(Kathy). There will be a viewing in the Shelly-Dinan Funeral Home, 24 E.
Main Street, Lansdale, PA from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, January 3,
2022. Additional Viewing and Mass will be held in the Cathedral Basilica of SS.
Peter & Paul (Main Church), 18th and the Parkway, Phila., PA. 19103 on
Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. followed by Mass
at 10:30 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Phila., PA. In lieu of
flowers donations in Tim's name should be made to the Holy Spirit Adoration
Nuns (Pink Nuns), 2212 Green St., Phila., PA 19130. Condolences may
also be sent to www.dinanfuneralhome.com Masks will be required in church

Still think of Tim when I passed the Funeral Home on Spring Garden Street or see a funeral being held at the Cathedral. He is gone but not forgotten.

So sorry to hear. I´ll always remember Uncle Tim at my dads Roman Catholic sports hall of fame induction dinner. He explicitly explained to my sister and I that he would do the talking about my dad and that we should just stand up there with him...he spoke for about ten seconds and handed it over to us. His ease and way will be missed, but he´ll always be close by.

Sincere sympathies to the Dinen Family on the loss of Tim, a true Catholic gentleman.
He will be missed by not just his family, but all the members, past and present of the Cathedral Parish, who he served with professionalism, integrity,and honesty for decades. Surely, he is now with God.

So sorry to hear of Tim's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Joan/family.
We go back many years(and also his personal plumber until my retirement; I considered him a "friend" and loved his sense of humor...what a great guy!
