Marilyn L. Canavan

Marilyn L. Canavan, 77, of Lansdale, passed away on June 6, 2022. She was the loving wife of Robert “Bob” Canavan for 54 years. Marilyn was born to the late Edward and Lenore Lavish. She attended Hatboro Horsham High School and received her Associates Degree from Gwynedd Mercy College. Marilyn worked for the North Penn School District for many years as the Executive Assistant for the Superintendent. After retiring from the district, Marilyn spent time traveling with her husband; playing golf; spending time with friends and most importantly, attending her grandchildren’s many sporting events and activities. She loved spending holidays with her family and lunches and dinners with her many long-time friends. Even when her mobility became limited, she was still a strong presence in her family’s life. Along with her husband, Marilyn is survived by: Brothers and Sisters- Law, Edward and Anne and Michael and Ruth Lavish; Daughter, Kerry (Canavan) Greene, her husband, Sean and their children, Emily and Aidan; and Son, Christopher Canavan, his wife, Amy (Lynch) and their children, Jackson, William, Quincy and Ellis. Visitation with the family will occur on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Greyhound Adoption Program at www.npap.org. Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA.
