Mark W. Price of Chalfont Mark W. Price, 52, husband of Christine D. (nee Cope) Price of Chalfont, passed away suddenly on August 25, 2015 at Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital in Lansdale, PA. Born on June 26, 1963 in Media, PA he was the son of William Price, III, of Wallingford, PA and the late Elizabeth (nee Cassidy) Price. He was a 1981 graduate of Penncrest High School and a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA where he obtained his Master’s Degree in education. At the time of his death he had been employed as a school teacher for almost 30 years by the North Penn School District where he was a special teacher in all aspects of life, and a very good and moral man. Mark enjoyed golfing, and fishing and boating on the ocean at Barnegat Light. He was an avid sports fan of all of the Philadelphia sports teams, and especially the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom he was a season ticket holder for many years. Mark will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and his greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with his family. Mark is also survived by the light of his life; his daughters, Samantha C. Price, and Meghan C. Price, both of whom he was so very proud, of Chalfont, his sister, Tracy Price, of Media, his nieces and nephews, his In-laws, Dolores and Miguel Ortega, of Moscow, PA, and many numerous friends and colleagues. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family to celebrate Mark’s life on Sunday evening, August 30, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446, and again on Monday morning, August 31, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Funeral Home where his Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Mark’s family has respectfully requested that all flowers be omitted, and that anyone wishing to do so may make a memorial contribution for his daughters’ education to the Mark W. Price Memorial Fund, c/o TD Bank, 499 W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914, which would be deeply appreciated by his family.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints in our hearts and we are never, ever the same. Thank you for the time we shared. Mr. Price was an extraordinary man and teacher. I will always remember the life lessons he taught me. He was just a great guy who made it his job to enlighten people around him. The world is worse off without Mr. Price. He will forever be one of the greatest educators that have ever taught at North Penn. I give his family my condolences as they go through this rough time. May we never forget this amazing man and educator Mr.Price.

I had the privilege and pleasure of first meeting Mark when I taught at Penndale in 1989. He was a down to earth great guy and an excellent Science teacher. I had reunited with Mark when his Request for Transfer to Pennfield was granted in 2004. I vividly remember how happy and excited he was of his reassignment. Mark had a passion for teaching and always cared about his students. In the classroom, he always went that extra yard to assure their comprehension and success.
Throughout your career you meet lots of people; but Mark was not ordinary; he was SPECIAL.

Paola and I send our condolences to the entire Price family on the passing of Mark. My father and Mark's mother, Betty, were great friends at the Delaware County Bar Association in the 1970's. I remember playing golf with Mark in the 1980's. It would take me three shots to catch up to one of Mark's drives. He was a person full of joy. May he rest in peace.

In 5 days I was suppost to have an amazing wonderful teacher, but sadly Mr Price passed. I just wanted to say we may have not met before Mr Price, but everyone knows your amazing spirit, which is why i so excited for this year.
