Mildred Kapusta

Mildred Kapusta, age 93, formerly of Franconia Township, died Friday, March 3 at The Community at Rockhill. She was the widow of the late Paul Kapusta Jr. who died in 2007. Born in Souderton, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Alma (Hagey) Mininger. After High School, Mildred enlisted in the Navy, serving as a Corpsman. She lived in North Wales and commuted daily to the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. After being Honorably Discharged from the Navy, she attended Lansdale School of Business. She then earned an Associate Degree in Business, from Montgomery County Community College. Mrs. Kapusta was employed as a Bookkeeper for Trotter Pretzels, Lansdale, then later for Ametek Hunter Spring, Hatfield. While her children were younger, she worked from home as a Millner, hat maker. After retirement from Hunter Spring, she was self employed as a seamstress. She was a member of Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, Telford, where she was a kindergarten Sunday School Teacher for 50 years and choir member. She is survived by sons Jerry Kapusta (Anita), Harleysville, Richard Kapusta (Juliana), Telford, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one sister Margie Snyder, Elkland, PA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Leslie Kapusta, a brother John Mininger and a sister Joyce Behner. Viewing will take place Tues., March 7, 10:00-10:45AM, at Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Road, Telford, where the funeral service will take place at 11:00AM.
