Eileen was a 10 year member of Union Community Extension Homemakers Club. She enjoyed family vacations, trips to casinos and flea markets. Cousin get togethers were also an important part of her life.

In addition to Bill, her husband of 45 years, she is survived by their son, Josh (Jessica) and her granddaughter, Gwen. Other surviving family members include a stepdaughter, Monica (Jose) Irauzqui of California and a stepson William "Duff" (Christy) Robertson of Martinsville. Also surviving are a brother Dennis (Claudia) Shafer and two sisters - Linnda Grimes and Susan Riddle, all of Columbus. Additional survivors include six nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Charles Grimes.

A celebration of life service was held on August 11 at Bond-Michell Funeral Home in Nashville, Indiana.
