Henry "Jim" James Dorman II

Henry James "Jim" Dorman II, 84 of Seymour passed away November 16, 2025 at Schneck Medical Center. He was born June 7, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Henry James Sr. and Edna Irene Smith Dorman. Jim served in the Indiana National Guard for six years. He married Phyllis Ann Booker on May 22, 1964 and she survives.

Jim worked for Cummins Engine Company for 34 years, retiring as Journeyman Machine Builder in 1996. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kevin Clark Dorman, his brother, Fred Dorman and his sister, Darlene Kennedy. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Phyllis, his son, Stewart Cary Dorman, his daughter-in-law, Jane Dorman, his brother, Howard (Joyce) Dorman, his sister, Leslie Diane Dorman, and grandchildren, Jack Dorman, Olivia Dorman, Evonda Gibson and Dewayne Dorman.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour, on Sunday, Nov 23, from 1 - 3 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
