Ronald Hudson Obituary

Ronald "Ron" Lee Hudson, 78, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Silver Oaks Health Campus after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease.

Born June 23, 1942 in Indianapolis, Ron was the son of Loren Hudson and Nina G. Scott Bartley. He was raised by his step-father Harry Pool.

Ron married Carolyn Sue Staggs on March 3, 1961 and she survives.

Other survivors include, children, Johnny (Mary) Hudson of Columbus, David (Wilma) Hudson of Edinburgh, Kimberly (Norman) Parolini of Plant City, FL., and Angie (Brian) Staublin of Hope; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Ron was employed at Golden Foundry for 28 years and then was owner and operator of Ron's Tree Service for 42 years.

He enjoyed boating, water skiing, and working on cars.

He was a member of Edinburgh Church of Nazarene.

Ron's funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Edinburgh Church of Nazarene with Pastor Jim Hudson and Rev. Rudy Lee officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home and noon until service time on Thursday at the church. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Masks are required inside the funeral home and social distancing will be enforced. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated directly to Edinburgh Church of Nazarene, 716 S. Eisenhower Dr., Edinburgh, IN 46124.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Harold Pool.
