Linda Adair Obituary

Linda "Faye" Gregory Adair, 89, of Columbus passed away on October 17, 2024. Faye was born in Mayfield, Kentucky, on September 8, 1935, to Vernie and Gay Crider Gregory. She grew up in Farmington, Kentucky, and graduated from Farmington High School. On March 18, 1953, she married Gene Thomas Adair, and they shared more than 71 incredible years together.

Along with her husband, Gene, she is survived by her four children: Richard Gregory Adair, Andy Joe (Roxanne) Adair, Angela Joy (Phil) Thompson, and Anissa June Adair; her grandchildren: Kristy Bentley, Luke (Lisa) Adair, Amie Myszkowski, Melissa (Jon) Swathwood, Drew (Katie) Adair, Lily (Blake) Tyler, Lacey (Steven) Proctor, Dylan (Stephanie) Thompson, and Jake Baker; and her great-grandchildren: Laina (Jasmine), Lindsay, Carter, Jackson, Max, Avery, Noah, Ember, Liam, Winifred, Blaze, and Lilah. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Gregory.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Rubel, Vernie Jr., and Kenneth Gregory; her sisters Jessie Lee Chapman, Joyce Weed, and Doyce Lou Latham; her grandson, Ross Abram Adair; and her daughter-in-law, Linda J. Adair.

Faye was a member of the 25th Street Church of Christ in Columbus, Indiana, and retired from J.C. Penney.

The Graveside Service will be 12:15 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Chuck Byers officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.

Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
