She was also an avid artist, expressing herself in drawing, painting, needlework, ceramics, stained glass, and jewelry In later years, she much enjoyed performing music with her husband, playing the washboard in both The Riverbank Banjo Band and The Ridgefield Senior Melodiers

Ethel was a faithful, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend

As a close friend of Rex, I have heard so many wonderful things about Ethel over many years. She fronted her final illness with great, great courage. And she raised three accomplished children while sustaining a long, nurturing marriage. Don Looney
