Herbert Tareyton Rosario

1926 - 2016

Herbert Tareyton Rosario, of Rolla, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri at the age of 90. Herbert was born in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii on September 27, 1926 to the late Raymond and Lourdes Rosario.

Herbert received his BA degree from University of Hawaii at Manoa; he taught high school English at Samoana High School in American Samoa, as well as George Washington High School in Guam. Herbert proudly served his Country in The United States Army, The United States Air Force, and The United States Navy, where he served in both WWII, and the Korean War. In 1969 Herbert married the love of his life, Miss Mary Esther Krivacek.
Herbert Rosario is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Rosario, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the St. Pats Catholic Church in Rolla, Missouri with Father Veit officiating. Interment will be at the Fort Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Rolla Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary from 4-6PM. In lieu of flowers Masses are suggested.
