Jason Ross Obituary

Jason N. Ross was born in Kingston, N.Y., on May 12, 1978. At the age of 6 he relocated to Anchorage with his family. He graduated from Service High School in 1996 and soon after moved to Long Island, N.Y., to begin paramedic training at Stony Brook University. He worked for several years as a paramedic while earning a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Childhood Education. In 2013, after teaching English and special education at Copiague Middle School for several years, he returned to a career in paramedics. At the time of his death Jason was proud to be working full time as a paramedic at Stony Brook Hospital, his alma mater, and part time for Holbrook Fire Department. Jason is survived by his children, Mikayla and Aaron; parents, Brenda and Stuart; siblings, Zack and Michelle, Alex, Ari, Jessie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jason was a dedicated teacher, a compassionate paramedic, but most importantly, a loving son, brother, loyal friend and adoring father who absolutely lived for his children. He was taken from us on Aug. 29, 2014. His zest for life, fun loving spirit and his ability to light up a room with his smile will be missed by all. The Jason Ross Memorial Fund has been established for his children. Donations may be sent to 1 Lager Lane, Patchogue, New York 11772 or on the web at http://www.gofundme.com/dvui5k.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please be comforted by the fact that God cares about you personally and will help you get through your grief.. He says "I have heard your prayers, I have seen your tears" . I will heal you. 2 Kings 20:5. One way that he will heal us, is by wiping away death, mourning, and outcry. And re-establish the earthly paradise once lost, where you can hope to be reunited with your father, son, and brother Jason.
