Johnnie Lackey Obituary
He is survived by his devoted sons, Keith and Daryl Lackey; daughters-in-law, Darlene, Sonya and Kathy Lackey; and loving sister, Lois Buckner. Johnnie was a cherished grandfather to his grandsons, Jason, Justin, Sean and Derick Lackey; and granddaughter, Michelle Lackey. He also took great joy in his role as a great-grandfather to Kayleigh, Jenna, Hunter, Nicole and Jacob Lackey, each of whom he adored.
An avid golfer, Johnnie loved spending time on the golf course, where he forged many cherished memories with friends and family. Johnnie's warm smile and kind heart will be missed by all who knew him. He built a life filled with laughter, hard work and love, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Grace Lackey; his loving wife, of 61 years, Mary Lackey; son, Steve Lackey; brothers, Ronnie, Butch and Howard; and sisters, Sara Lackey, Glenda Foor and Mary Helen Fox.
The family received family and friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, at Crisp Funeral Home.
Grave side services were held at Swain Memorial Park immediately following the visitation.
