Patsy Maney

BRYSON CITY - Patsy Jenkins Maney, 81, of the Robinson Gap Community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday Nov. 27, 2024. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Ed Calloway and Edith Holden Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Maney; brothers, Francis, Gilbert, Jack, Kenneth, Ed, Wayne and Frank Jenkins; sisters, Dorothy Zinser, Sylvia Rivers and Bonnie Breedlove; son, Donald McGaha; and grandchildren, Christin McGaha and DJ McGaha.
She is survived by her children, Darlene (Dwight) Burrell and Danny Maney both of Bryson City; daughter-in-law, Beth McGaha; grandchildren, Mellie (Darren) Gibson, Ben (Marla) Murphy and Bobbi Jo (Glenn); great-grandchildren, Corey Brown, Dwayne Gibson, Tristan Brown, Carissa Murphy, Michael Gibson, Addison Carlton, Robert Carlton, Alexis McGaha, Summer McGaha, Primo Pete, Enzo Pete and Rowan Murphy; great-great-grandchild, Freya Belle Murphy; and special additions to the family, Asher Downs and Cerenity Stephens.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30 at Crisp Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Patsy's nephew, Reverend Gilbert Breedlove officiated. Burial followed at Blankenship Cemetery. Pallbearers were Austin Robinson, Ben Murphy, Darren Gibson, Ricky Waldroup, Primo Pete and Enzo Pete.
