She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas (Donna) Roper.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Nancy) Freeman, Lawrence (Crystal) Freeman and Bernice (Eddie) Mashburn; grandchildren, Kyle Mashburn, Beth Mashburn, Christopher Mashburn, Casie Mashburn, Amber Freeman, Amber Bird, Brianna Woodard and Fussy Bird; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Sawyer of Robbinsville and Alice Longwith of Bryson City; sister-in-law, Imogene (Marion) Gilstrap; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5 at Euchella Cemetery.
