Charles Lyndon Obituary

Charles Henry Lyndon, 92, of Thomasville, NC and lately Mt. Gilead, NC, passed peacefully in his sleep the evening of April 4, 2024.
Charlie is survived by his daughters, Leslee Wray, and Heather Lyndon, his son-in-law Daniel Wray, his grandsons Nathan Wray, Aaron Wray, and Joshua Wray, his granddaughters Kali Wray and Amber Wray, as well as several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lyndon (2013), his daughter, Kimberly Lyndon (1969), and his brother Jack Lyndon (2022).
Charlie graduated from Mars Hill College and NC State College with degrees in Industrial Engineering and worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 40 years.
He was a humble and generous person, strong in faith, who always cared about others and loved to tell stories about his family and his many travels. He was also an avid golfer, fisherman and photographer, animal lover and nature enthusiast.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held on April 11, 2024 between 5-7 p.m. in the Badin Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 153 Spruce Street, Badin, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Gentiva Hospice of Montgomery County, NC: 1024 Albemarle Road #904, Troy, NC 27371, or to your local animal shelter.
Alternately, flowers or trees can be planted in your garden or a round of golf can be played in remembrance of him.
