Deborah Pender Obituary
She was born Aug. 11, 1960, in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Donald and Joan Knauer Stein.
She married Jeffrey Pender on Dec. 9, 1978, in Libertyville.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Jeff Pender of Mundelein; daughters, Lisa Pender of Mundelein and Kristan (Aaron) Kitterman of McHenry; one son, Danny Pender of Mundelein; one granddaughter, Kylee Kitterman; parents, Donald and Joan Stein of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; one brother, Jeff (Lori) Stein Lindenhurst; one sister, Tammy (William) Parker of Chandler, Ariz.; mother-in-law, Lou Ella Pender of Anna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian (Shelly) Pender and Dale (Sandy) Pender, all of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles; other relatives; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gilbert Pender; and grandparents, Ed and Cecil Casper, Al and Hilda Knauer and Ignatius and Ester Stein.
Debbie worked for Hawthorn Mellody Farms and Quill for several years. Later, Debbie decided to do what she really loved and started in-home daycare. She enjoyed the outdoors, putting puzzles together and spending time with her family and granddaughter.
After a very long battle, Debbie received a heart and kidney transplant Aug. 13, 2013. She gave a courageous fight for 14 weeks post-transplant. The Pender family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., for their compassionate care for Debbie.
Services for Mrs. Deborah Marie "Debbie" Pender will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, in Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Ed Falgout officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Pender family. Envelopes will be available at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

Dear Pender & Stein Family
We are so sorry to hear the news about such a wonderful person, she will be greatly missed. She watched our girls as well as our grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families. Our love to all.
