LEXINGTON, Ky. - Donna Marie Yopp passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025.
She was born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky. Her parents were Overton Starling Denton and Alice (Bartley) Denton of Henderson. She attended Henderson Holy Name School and graduated in June 1961. She earned a bachelor's degree from Catherine Spalding College in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1965.
She married John Yopp of Paducah, Kentucky, in Henderson Holy Name Catholic Church on July 10, 1965.
She is survived by her husband, John; her children, Michael Yopp of San Diego, California, Joseph Yopp of Hinsdale, and her daughter, Anne-Marie Marshall of Lexington, Kentucky; her sister, Ann (Mrs. Steve Jochim) of Louisville; her brother, Larry Denton of Henderson, Kentucky; and her granddaughters, Colleen Yopp, Caitlin Yopp and Molly Grace Yopp of Burr Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Baptist Hospital's Oncology Unit's Foundation, the Markey Cancer Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Cathedral of Christ the King.
