What a colorful and fulfilling life we all lived on the little Rt 4. The snow storm huddles, power outage sing alongs and swimming summers. Those memories with Mr. O'Neil and family will last my lifetime. They made us who we are today. I am proud to have been apart of his life.

I attended Carterville Elementary School when Mr. (now Dr) O'Neil came to us "fresh out of" SIU.
He was a wonderful, funny man; a great role model, an outstanding teacher and a very patient 7th grade basketball coach (which he had to be, with me because I was a total klutz). I have thought of him often over the years and shall always have a special place in my heart for his blessed memory. THANK YOU and G-D SPEED, "MR/DR" O'NEIL. You were a kind, gentle and loving man. You made a mark, no, you made many marks and influenced so many young people in so many positive and constructive ways.
