Joy Conley Obituary
Joy was born to Justin and Nikki (Butler) Conley on Jan. 16, 2011, in Mount Vernon.
She was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 5 1/2 months. She underwent two bone marrow transplants, one from her sister. She smiled through it all and had everyone she met wrapped around her finger in no time. She was an amazing two-year-old … sassy and smiling, loving and laughing, patient and fearless. She lived out her name daily.
She will be missed by those she left behind including her father and mother, Justin and Nikki Conley and siblings, Kelsey, Noah, Hannah, and Providence of Macedonia; her grandparents, Rob and Peggy Stanley of West Frankfort, and Frank and Barbara Butler of Macedonia; her uncles, aunts and cousins, Travis and Shauna Curry with Gavin and Emma of Johnston City, and Jason and Jennifer Butler with Sabrina and Riley of Mari-etta, Ga.; her great-grandmother, Mary Ramsey "G-ma Doll" of West Frankfort; and countless others that loved her dearly.
The family expresses, "Yet, we know we will see her again in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Services will be at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 4, in Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort, with Dr. Brett Beasley officiating. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Dalhgren. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today, Jan. 4, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital in St. Louis or Friends of Kids with Cancer.
Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort is in charge of arrangements.

I am sorry to hear that your precious child has died. There is not much I can say that will take away the way that you are feeling right now. But I do know that God can help. At Psalm 56:8 David pleaded to God: "Do put my tears in your skin bottle. Are they not in your book? Like David I know that God is aware of your pain and what you are going through emotionally. He will continue to give you what you need to live each day without Joy.
