Juanita Burzynski Obituary
She was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Thompsonville, to Sherman and Radie Williams Sullivan.
She married Walter Burzynski on Oct. 4, 1947. Walter and Juanita celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in October.
She was a 60-year member of Rend Baptist Church in Rend City.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mavis Alecci of Valier, Maureen and Larry Goessman of Colorado and Ava and Michael Gerdes of Washington; grandchildren, Tammy Young and husband, Kebin, Tripp Goessman and Christopher Gerdes; great-grandchildren, Alicia Young and KayLeah Goessman; sister, Lois Jackson; half-sister, Norma Helton; step-brother, Kenneth Rusher; and step-sister, Jane Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sophia Ruth Sullivan; and half-brother, Vernon Sullivan.
Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, in Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser, with Brother John West officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Valier. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at the funeral home.
