I remember the morning Dad came by. He said Garett is gone. I said what do you mean gone? He said he passed away last night in a car accident. I said no I don't believe it. I tried calling you. No answer. Kept trying to call. No answer. Went to your Uncles house and he confirmed it all. I still couldn't believe it. My buddy was gone. I thought no his Uncle has to have something mixed up. After hearing how it happened I stopped and bought some Rose's and a cross. As I made my way to where you accident was I put the Rose's on the cross. I got out of the car. I couldn't and still cant believe it was true. I saw your pocket from your Jean's. I held onto it so tight and then a CD with pictures of you on it. It was you. Your step Dad pulled up and I went to your Moms. She was beside herself as someone pulled up in the driveway pulling your stuff on a trailer. We both cried so much. Gosh Garett..how did we get here. I never would have thought all the times we spent together would end like this. I still like to think you are some where hauling junk or working on stuff and maybe you are. I am sure in your mansion there's all kinds of hot rods. I am sure you are laughing and can't wait for you to pick me up and hug me again. I always felt so small in your arms. Love you forever Garett. I mean that.

Growing up, Garrett was someone that I always looked up to. He and Johnathan are in my memories as far back they will take me. His talents never ceased to amaze me. He was sharp as could be. Always making me laugh. He was someone I could always count on to tell me "how it is". He will be sorely missed. My heart aches for his family & kids. I will never forget the incredible person that is Garrett Jarvis.

To All,
A co-worker lost her nephew as the result of a tragic accident. This was written for him and it reminded me of Garrett: I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun, Of happy memories that I leave when life is done. Love From The Davis Family, Marty, Cindy,Hallie and Cash We will stand beside you forever. Garrett you will never be forgotten.

I have thought about it, read about it, looked at the obituary, and I still can't believe it! I can say I am sorry all day long but it won't make you feel better, it won't take away the pain, it won't stop your heart from breaking. So instead,I will say this...only time will ease your heartache, time will make it easier but time will not let you forget the memories that you made together. I will say, I am here for a shoulder to lean on or an ear to bend, I can listen to your pain but not be able to take it away. May the rough days to come be lightened thru God and time make it easier to bear.
