Lorene Brayshaw Obituary

ELKVILLE - Lorene Brayshaw, 90, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, in Tri Sun Meadow Creek Nursing Facility in San Angelo, Texas.

Lorene was a homemaker. She worked as a seamstress at the Du Quoin Dress Factory and the Murphysboro Jacket Co.

She was a member of Elkville Christian Church.

Lorene was born April 9, 1916, in Elkville, the daughter of Ed and Edith Mae (Flint) Fox.

She married Wiley W. Brayshaw on Nov. 5, 1937, in Elkville, and he passed away on Nov. 30, 1988.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann and Phillip Baumeyer of North Canton, Ohio, and Oma Mae and Darrell Stublefield of San Angelo; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Mae Porter, Lois Seibert and her twin sister, Mary Alline Fox; and one brother, Milford Fox.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, in Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with Bros. Jerry Aken and Gary Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Elkville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Elkville Cemetery or the Vista Care Hospice, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
